Nordic Mocha

Heeeey! It has been 3 weeks since I wrote the last post and I know I missed a lot of blog posts.
I do need some time to shut myself down for a while and work has been hectic lately.
6 days of work in a week plus disappointment in life make me really tired from doing anything else.
But I guess I am pulling myself together gradually.

I went dark again for my hair because it has got too many colours left with previous hair dye and my hair is really uneven in colour right now. This time, I went to a salon which uses INOA products from Loreal Professional and I got it in a dark mocha colour.
It turns out really nice as it adds a little warm to dark brown colour.
M.A.C. eyeshadow in Satin Taupe and Twinks | Tom Ford lipstick in First Time

Makeup wise, I am very minimal these days in my eye makeup.
I re-discovered my M.A.C. eyeshadow Satin Taupe.
It is a cool toned brown with a bit of silver shimmer in it so it adds a natural definition to my eyes.
Since my eyes colour is in a really warm light brown, I think cool toned colour looks really good on me as it balanced out everything.
Besides, I would also like to use Twinks for deepening effect too.

With my new scarf, I just think I should go nordic and ride a horse!
Hopefully it will happen in 2017!
But I just booked my flights to Europe in March. Too excited for travelling again in just 1.5 months:)
More blog posts sooooon:)

tsuyu-kusa 【露草】| Pilot iroshizuku

I have been looking for a perfect china blue ink for a while and I have found it!
Not sure why I am having such a feeling for the specific blue colour on china.

Maybe it calms me.

This is the sample from Pilot Japan official website.
Since this ink is from Japan, it makes me kinda want to write this post in Japanese!!

I used the Kaweco squeeze converter as an ink cartridges for this!
It worked perfectly.
Feel free to check out the previous post about the squeeze converter.

This blue matches my expectation on the blue colour on china. It is really stunning.
I tried on two kind of paper and the first one is Schöpfer notebook by Life Company Limited.

The second one is the 2016 schedule by Muji.
For the paper in this schedule, it takes a little bit of time for the ink to dry.

Two more new ink to try out!
Stay tuned for the posts in the coming week.

Get The Ink Out - How to clean Kaweco Sport nib

Today, finally I have time to go into my calligraphy pen again!
But since I have not touched it for a while and I really want to try a new colour ink other than black, I decided to clean the nibs first.

All you need is water and the squeeze converter only. How simple and easy that it!
I bought my squeeze converter in the local stationary shop with only HKD$26.
Not only you can use it to clean the nib, but also use it as an ink cartridges.
I am also going to try new ink with it too! Convenient!
Step One: Pull the nib and feed straight out
Step Two: Put the nib and feed into the water, then get it out and dry it with a towel
(See the ink trapped inside all came out and it is very beautiful)
Step Three: Fill water inside the converter
Step Four: Put the converter into where you usually put ink cartridges into and squeeze the water out.
Repeat this step until the water comes out clear.

Only four steps and you get a clean nib in a minute!

Sonia

New Beginnings in 2016

Happy 2016!
Be Present | Be More Creative | Self Care

A new year has just started! How is everything?
So it is time to write down some thoughts and aspirations.

Be Present
2015 was a challenging and growing up year for me. In 2016, I want to stop the little mind movies replaying over and over about my experiences in 2015 and be open to 2016. It does not mean that I would like to forget things that happened in 2015 but since I have experienced those in 2015, now I can focus on what I truly crave for or what I want to do with my time.

Be More Creative
At the end of 2015, I realized and cannot believe that I have gave up my hand crafty things for 1.5 years since the major heartbreaks in 2014. How crazy that it! I would like to be even more creative this year, not only for blog posts, fashion or makeup, but also hand crafty things! I miss the time when I was wrapping a present, decorating my schedule and writing with my calligraphy pen.

Self Care
I would like to be healthier in 2016. Since I started working, I barely go to gym anymore. Recently, I always have headache and stomachache then I noticed my health is not good and something has to be done. So I have already started a new workout routine which is HIIT! No more excuses on being too tired or no time! Keep up.

Love More
Embrace all the emotions and feelings that come along without judgement and show love! I am going to continue my gratitude diary this year so that I know there are always little things that I feel blessed. Also, believe "do good and good will come to you". It is worth waiting.

Travel More
Finally I saved up some money for travelling again but I am still thinking where to visit this year but for sure one long trip and one short trip in 2016!

Let's see what 2016 can bring me:)

Love,
Sonia
