Paris

Last year May, I travelled to Paris and stayed with my cousin for a week since she is currently studying in Paris for degree. I only remember a word for Paris - chilling. Visiting museums in every countries is a must for me in travelling. Of course, I could never say no to The Louvre and Musée d'Orsay! I was able to see Mona Lisa and Van Gogh self portrait in person. But what amazed me is that I would be able to see the paintings that I used to see in Art class in person and it was surreal.

I also took some pics with the iconic Eiffel Tower and it was really huge in my eyes because I did not expect that at all. But my favourite place to chill is Café Kitsuné in Jardin du Palais Royal. I went there for quite a few times. Not only the place is beautiful with trees, it is also very calm. With a coffee, I even spent a few hours there just to wait my cousin and there is nothing to rush.

At the end, I finally got my first designer bag with Celine. It is classy but also not too fancy to carry everyday for work or going out. It suits my personalty a lot. I remember once there is person questioned me: why would you want to get a bag that its price is higher than your salary? and now I am proudly to response that my salary in way higher than it and fxxk you. Haha!

TURKEY 2018 | PART TWO

Ephesus | Pamukkale | Cappadocia

At this time, I am already confused by so many pictures in my camera and I tried to recall which ones are for which day and for which place. But the second part of Turkey trip 2018 is all about natures and the old cities. We went to quite a few old cities which were built by the rich people back then. One of the things we tried in Ephesus is that the speaker does not have to carry a mic for the speech in the theatre. It was impressive when I could hear what our tour guide said by up in the seats!

We also went to some underground cities which were built for escaping religious persecution. You just cannot stop thinking about how grateful we should be for what we have now because it is hard to imagine people tried to make a living in those underground cities while having faith to what they believed.

This trip is also about the famous Pamukkale and Cappadocia. I am not going to lie that I was a bit disappointed that Pamukkale was so packed with people and the water there was not as blue as I saw on the internet. I do believe that tourism sometimes can destroy a beautiful place like there. I would recommend the garden down from the mountain which has a more chill vibe with less people and you can actually see the view better. Cappadocia was so beautiful with the natures and it was sad that we were not able to do the hot air balloon tide. But I think there is always a chance to go to Turkey again for me.

After-all, Turkey will always remain special to me <3

TURKEY 2018 | PART ONE

Istanbul | Troy

It is my second time to Turkey after 3 years. We arrived Istanbul on the first day which was pretty tough for me because when everything is so familiar to me but it does not mean what it used to mean to me anymore. We stayed in Istanbul for the first day and the last day. On the last day, finally I was able to eat again my favourite meat ball sandwich. It was delicious but it was not that delicious like I remember the last time. So I understand that memories are not as good as you remember and you never realized that you have already moved on until you re-visited the memory lane.

This time at Istanbul, i re-visited most of the places that I went last time but what a shame that I could not go to Galata Tower which is the best place to the whole of Istanbul. But I also visited some places that I did not go for last time like Grand  Bazaar and Dolmabahçe Palace. Also, this time me and my mum joined tour so there were one Hong Kong tour guide and one Turkish tour guide for explaining everything to us. Of course, I heard a lot of different stories with the Turkish tour guide. Getting more historical facts and stories is the only advantages of joining tour because you cannot get into the local area and experience more the neighbourhood with everything planned in the tour schedule.
