Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder

I have not been excited for a new makeup collection for a while but the collaboration between Victoria Beckham and Estee Lauder grew a thing on me. Of course, the package reminds me of Tom Ford Beauty but it also carries quite a vintage feeling to me.

My First Tattoo

Just got done

After healing

I have got my first tattoo around two months ago. When the date was approaching, I was not sure if I should get a tattoo or not because it is a permanent thing that you cannot just wash it away after getting it done. I asked myself quite a few times before going and I decided to go for it.

I got it done on my arm with my baby dog on it. It is dedicated to him since I really really miss him and I know I would not regret it at all. Maybe it is really stupid to other people about tattooing your dog on your body but I think tattoo is a personal thing and I even have it tattooed facing me because I can see it from my side other than showing to people what I have tattooed on my arm.

Now it is fully healed and I am really glad that I can see my baby dog everyday because it reminds me the most precious and pure love from him.

SIX WEEKS IN THE LIFE | 4 JUL - 14 AUG

Summary of July

OMG! Cannot believe that I have not wrote blog post for more than a month. It is impressive when I typed SIX WEEKS IN THE LIFE! But I have been really busy in starting my new role and now I can say I adapted to the new environment quite well. At the beginning, it was depressing since some of my colleagues are not helping in teaching my things and I was left alone to encounter the problems but now I know who to reach for so I do not have to rely on people who are not helpful. Finally, I am now quite independent and grow quicker than expected. Nowadays, I met new people every day at work which make me excited. In a week, I met people from Asia, Europe and US literally everywhere from the world and I love talking to them even if it is only a small talk. It just opens up my eyes so much.

Besides, I have to mention my birthday of course. I had a great night spending time with my friends and new friends on the 23rd July. Then had a hangover on my birthday but no regrets because I met a great person. Also, I did have a birthday meal with Karry in our old place - Delifrance. Nothing special but quality time matters.

I feel like my soul has grew up a bit more again because I have never been this satisfied for a while. I have great time no matter alone or with anyone. I keep checking with myself how I feel and how to keep the authentic self. I think this practice makes a difference.  

New Hair Colour

Hair colour time AGAIN! I went for a bit light for this time but it could have been even lighter. I miss my red hair A LOT but work place would not allow that vibrant colour so I went for copper this time. It is kind of late summer light colour shade but I am happy with the result because I see ME more in lighter colour. I also really like the layers of my hair now. It makes my hair weights less while maintaining the volume and movement.

New In Items

Recently, I always go to shopping for working outfits because I do not have enough. Now I am like an expert of spotting a perfect white silk blouse for work haha. When it comes to weekend, although most likely I will rest at work, I feel extra excited if I knew I will go for a date with friends because finally no more black and white boring pieces. The most proud piece is another NASA tshirt from Tee & Cake in Topshop. I feel like it has already been a tradition of mine to buy a NASA tshirt every year. But this piece is more like a vintage kind of design since the details on it is really 1980s. Besides, I feel really really sad that I lost my favourite midi ring AT HOME. I cannot even figure out how it happened and I could not find it at home anymore and I cannot even buy a new one online *TOO SAD*. I just ordered a few statement pieces since it has been in my cart for three months and I know it is the time to get it all. So sad but cannot wait to my new finger candies.

TOM FORD Champaca Absolute

Champaca Absolute from Tom Ford Private Blend collection is described as Intricate, Mysterious and Passionate. I promised myself a perfume after getting promoted and this is the one. Actually all my Tom Ford perfume is about 1/4 left so it is also the time to seek for a new one. I never doubt TF's perfume since it lasts for the whole day (I can still smell it after gym!) while the scent is unique.

I was about to buy Costa Azzurra which is another Private Blend. It is very Italian while so Turkish to me because not only I was surrounding by this scent in Istanbul last Summer, but I also wore it on myself too. Scent makes vivid images. Even the little parts that you do not think you remember popped up when the scent goes into your mind. It is one of my favourite scents but I know I have to choose something else. So Champaca Absolute is the choice.

According to the internet, top notes are cognac, bergamot and dyer’s greenweed; middle notes are champaca, orchid, violet and jasmine; base notes are vanilla, amber, sandalwood and marron glace. Not an expert on describing scent, but I think this scent suits me well. It is not too feminine but it is enough to arouse your interest.

Training for New Role

For the past week, I attended training for my new role. It included a lot of product selling skills which I am really not familiar with so I paid extra attention on these classes because I want to absorb the knowledge but also make it myself with my personality so the speaking skills would not be too weird. Two more weeks of training then I will be in on-the-job training in my branch. It made me excited but also (good?!) kind of scared. Fighting!!!

Just turned ONE!

My niece has just turned ONE!!! She is definitely a happy and strong baby. This little peanut grows up so fast that she is going to walk soon with her little strong legs and of course she always throws things here and there. 

Half year marked

Time passes really quick especially when you realized 2016 has already gone by half. You just cannot help but ask yourself: how much have you achieved this year and how do you feel?
