Ephesus | Pamukkale | Cappadocia
At this time, I am already confused by so many pictures in my camera and I tried to recall which ones are for which day and for which place. But the second part of Turkey trip 2018 is all about natures and the old cities. We went to quite a few old cities which were built by the rich people back then. One of the things we tried in Ephesus is that the speaker does not have to carry a mic for the speech in the theatre. It was impressive when I could hear what our tour guide said by up in the seats!
We also went to some underground cities which were built for escaping religious persecution. You just cannot stop thinking about how grateful we should be for what we have now because it is hard to imagine people tried to make a living in those underground cities while having faith to what they believed.
This trip is also about the famous Pamukkale and Cappadocia. I am not going to lie that I was a bit disappointed that Pamukkale was so packed with people and the water there was not as blue as I saw on the internet. I do believe that tourism sometimes can destroy a beautiful place like there. I would recommend the garden down from the mountain which has a more chill vibe with less people and you can actually see the view better. Cappadocia was so beautiful with the natures and it was sad that we were not able to do the hot air balloon tide. But I think there is always a chance to go to Turkey again for me.
After-all, Turkey will always remain special to me <3
Love,
Sonia
