I have not been excited for a new makeup collection for a while but the collaboration between Victoria Beckham and Estee Lauder grew a thing on me. Of course, the package reminds me of Tom Ford Beauty but it also carries quite a vintage feeling to me.

I have got my first tattoo around two months ago. When the date was approaching, I was not sure if I should get a tattoo or not because it is a permanent thing that you cannot just wash it away after getting it done. I asked myself quite a few times before going and I decided to go for it.
I got it done on my arm with my baby dog on it. It is dedicated to him since I really really miss him and I know I would not regret it at all. Maybe it is really stupid to other people about tattooing your dog on your body but I think tattoo is a personal thing and I even have it tattooed facing me because I can see it from my side other than showing to people what I have tattooed on my arm.
Now it is fully healed and I am really glad that I can see my baby dog everyday because it reminds me the most precious and pure love from him.
OMG! Cannot believe that I have not wrote blog post for more than a month. It is impressive when I typed SIX WEEKS IN THE LIFE! But I have been really busy in starting my new role and now I can say I adapted to the new environment quite well. At the beginning, it was depressing since some of my colleagues are not helping in teaching my things and I was left alone to encounter the problems but now I know who to reach for so I do not have to rely on people who are not helpful. Finally, I am now quite independent and grow quicker than expected. Nowadays, I met new people every day at work which make me excited. In a week, I met people from Asia, Europe and US literally everywhere from the world and I love talking to them even if it is only a small talk. It just opens up my eyes so much.
Besides, I have to mention my birthday of course. I had a great night spending time with my friends and new friends on the 23rd July. Then had a hangover on my birthday but no regrets because I met a great person. Also, I did have a birthday meal with Karry in our old place - Delifrance. Nothing special but quality time matters.
I feel like my soul has grew up a bit more again because I have never been this satisfied for a while. I have great time no matter alone or with anyone. I keep checking with myself how I feel and how to keep the authentic self. I think this practice makes a difference.
New Hair Colour
Hair colour time AGAIN! I went for a bit light for this time but it could have been even lighter. I miss my red hair A LOT but work place would not allow that vibrant colour so I went for copper this time. It is kind of late summer light colour shade but I am happy with the result because I see ME more in lighter colour. I also really like the layers of my hair now. It makes my hair weights less while maintaining the volume and movement.
New In Items
Recently, I always go to shopping for working outfits because I do not have enough. Now I am like an expert of spotting a perfect white silk blouse for work haha. When it comes to weekend, although most likely I will rest at work, I feel extra excited if I knew I will go for a date with friends because finally no more black and white boring pieces. The most proud piece is another NASA tshirt from Tee & Cake in Topshop. I feel like it has already been a tradition of mine to buy a NASA tshirt every year. But this piece is more like a vintage kind of design since the details on it is really 1980s. Besides, I feel really really sad that I lost my favourite midi ring AT HOME. I cannot even figure out how it happened and I could not find it at home anymore and I cannot even buy a new one online *TOO SAD*. I just ordered a few statement pieces since it has been in my cart for three months and I know it is the time to get it all. So sad but cannot wait to my new finger candies.
Champaca Absolute from Tom Ford Private Blend collection is described as Intricate, Mysterious and Passionate. I promised myself a perfume after getting promoted and this is the one. Actually all my Tom Ford perfume is about 1/4 left so it is also the time to seek for a new one. I never doubt TF's perfume since it lasts for the whole day (I can still smell it after gym!) while the scent is unique.
I was about to buy Costa Azzurra which is another Private Blend. It is very Italian while so Turkish to me because not only I was surrounding by this scent in Istanbul last Summer, but I also wore it on myself too. Scent makes vivid images. Even the little parts that you do not think you remember popped up when the scent goes into your mind. It is one of my favourite scents but I know I have to choose something else. So Champaca Absolute is the choice.
According to the internet, top notes are cognac, bergamot and dyer’s greenweed; middle notes are champaca, orchid, violet and jasmine; base notes are vanilla, amber, sandalwood and marron glace. Not an expert on describing scent, but I think this scent suits me well. It is not too feminine but it is enough to arouse your interest.
For the past week, I attended training for my new role. It included a lot of product selling skills which I am really not familiar with so I paid extra attention on these classes because I want to absorb the knowledge but also make it myself with my personality so the speaking skills would not be too weird. Two more weeks of training then I will be in on-the-job training in my branch. It made me excited but also (good?!) kind of scared. Fighting!!!
Just turned ONE!
My niece has just turned ONE!!! She is definitely a happy and strong baby. This little peanut grows up so fast that she is going to walk soon with her little strong legs and of course she always throws things here and there.
Half year marked
Time passes really quick especially when you realized 2016 has already gone by half. You just cannot help but ask yourself: how much have you achieved this year and how do you feel?
It is not my first time to watch Pacific Rim but I have no idea why it popped up in my head and I watch it again. I am completely obsessed with it again. I am a girl who loves to watch Sci-Fic movies a lot. This movie is great at talking about how all the races worked together to fight with monsters, relationships between family and friends, trust and faith in each other. I have to talk about Chuck and Max the bulldog! Dog and soldier always get me haha.
Workwear
I struggled quite a bit in deciding what to wear for my new job role because I feel the best in comfortable tops, shorts and sneakers. I did quite a bit of research online and observe what people wear to work but I could not really figure out what I want. So I went on a little shopping trip to malls and I figured it out! Originally I wanted to switch between trousers and dresses but then I found that dress with a blazer is not really my thing so I went with a silm fitted pair of trousers. Sadly, culottes is not allowed at work because it turned out better than I thought so I may get it for off work.
New Things
I have been trying a lot of new things like mascara, nail polish, eyeshadow, lip products and even dried fruit water! When I started to change some of my routine especially I am going to change to new work position, it makes me feel scared (kind of good scared), excited and fresh and I took it as a good feeling.
It is really excited that Jenn collaborated with ColourPop since her style is very versatile.
The eyeshadow quad is called "Jenn Ne Sais Quoi" which she played with a French phrase "I don't know what" and then each eyeshadow is named with first 4 French number Un, Deux, Trois and Quatre. I love the whole theme of playing with languages because there is too much naming with people's name, pet's name or lyrics. This kind of naming is much more fun!

As usual, the eyeshadow is creamy and pigmented but still I think it is the best to apply with fingers.
Colour wise, "Trois" caught my eyes the most since I really like red colour. The look that I created above is very similar to the one I created with Cranberry from M.A.C. But unlike Cranberry, Trois seems to be more red red and I found it easier to work with in a subtle look. Overall, it is very easy to create a natural look (Un as a nice overall eyelid colour: Deux as a crease contour colour; Quatra as a soft deep brown eyeliner) while you can also create a playful look like I do in the above pictures.
Update for another week fitness! This week, I mainly went to fitness on my own since my schedule could not match with my personal trainer's. But I do enjoy doing it too! One of the biggest changes that I noticed is that I was not as tired as before when I was working especially I worked 6 days this week. Before, I would be tired like hell but this week, I was also tired but I managed to do fitness! This made me want to keep this routine more and more.
New Hair
I cannot believe it has been one year since my graduation trip. Last year today I was in Istanbul with jet black hair. I swear I would not dye my hair black again because there is too many follow ups. Today, I went to salon to get my hair done. Originally, I wanted to get lighter hair for summery look. But then I thought of trying something new - matte hair colour. I was not sure how it will turn out and it turned out nice. It is not exactly black but kind of darker brown matte colour. Also, getting a hair cut is also my priority because my hair is too heavy for summer and it grew very messy because the last hair dresser did not really do his work seriously. This time, I got my hair colour and hair cut fixed!
This week's update is not much but it is more than enough and I am really really content this week.
First week of going back to Fitness
This week, I attended two personal training sessions and went to one cardio exercise on my own. For the two personal training sessions, I was not given harsh training since I have not been in gym for a while so my trainer wanted me to use my own weight for each pose and those poses aimed for dynamic training. The next day after I had my first training, my legs, shoulders, back (you can imagine every muscles!!) were so sore and when I walked down stairs, I was basically worse than an old lady haha. But I enjoy going back to Fitness so much because it kept me focus and I found that I was not that tired like I used to feel. Keep up!
Got promoted
Another great great great news to me this week is - I got promoted! I am currently in Premier counter since February which I enjoy better than in general counter. After getting promoted, no more uniform and no more counter service! But of course another chance to learn more and be more independent since my coming post required work mainly on my own. It will be hard but FIGHTING!
Lorac pro palette is not a strange palette to me but I never get a hand on it since I think my other brand palettes like my trusty Urban Decay's Naked and Pony's Shine Easy Glam get the job done. But recently I am getting a bit bored about the palettes that I already owned so I decided to get the Lorac pro palette since Beauty.com was doing a 20% off sales.
Taupe | Lt. Bronze | Mauve | Garnet
The package is sleek and thin which is very travel friendly. When I was doing swatches of this palette, I found that the eyeshadows are creamier than Urban Decay's. It is also pigmented. Plus, this palette is well balanced because the upper row is all matte eyeshadow while the bottom row is all shimmer shades.
Overall, I quite like this palette and I think if I had to choose which palette to bring on the go, I would choose this over Urban Decay's Naked. This is quite a strong statement from me since in the past few years, I brought Naked with me every time in the trips. I think I can create different looks from this palette easier since it has balanced dark, light, matte and shimmer eyeshadows.
This week is the regular week in a month that I stayed home alone since my mother goes to Shanghai for a vacation once in every month now. Now, I am chilling in front of computer, listening to Jayesslee, enjoying a cup of milk tea and surrounding myself with a scent from Red Rose candle of Jo Malone. It makes me extra satisfied with clothes, makeup brushes and dishes all washed!
Joined Fitness Club
This is the most excited and right decision that I made this week. Yay I FINALLY JOINED FITNESS CLUB! Lazy me have been off for fitness for five months as the inner me always said "I am sooooo tired after work and I just want to lay on sofa for the rest of my lifeeeee". But the feelings of toning up has been growing stronger than the laziness recently and I chose the Fitness First which left a really good reputation to me. I am going to start the first training session with my trainer next Wednesday and I am really looking forward to how it will give me a toned up body and make me feel happier after loads of sweating!
Clean Face
My skin behaves really really good these days and I can tell it is really happy with the skincare routine that I started at the beginning of this year. There is still a few light pigmentation left from the previous acne scaring and I am not really bothered by it since I can just cover it with just a small amount of concealer before I go to work. A few weeks ago, I went to a skin test for fun and it told me I have a skin of 16 years old girl. Secret good gene of asian? haha. Never be lazy on your skincare Girls!
Pony Effect Pebble Blender
I have never used a beauty blender before even though it is such a hot makeup tool. When I know my trust worthy makeup artist Pony released her own version of it, I struggled if I should give it a try or not but I still gave it a try. I know it will expand after wetting it with lukewarm water but still I was excited as a kid in bathroom when I saw it expanded in my hand. Let's see how will it perform!

This morning, Jen posted a new video about her new jewelry collection with Mejuri and I watched it immediately. This collection is inspired by her pregnancy with orbit design. I got so many compliments when I wore her Gravity collection so I will definitely support her again <3
Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
I love watching people playing video games and I watched it on YouTube like people following a TV series. The graphics and movement in Uncharted 4 are amazing. But still it cannot beat Until Dawn. One of the places involved in this game is in Italy. Although I do not know what exact place that inspired the developer, it made me think of Sorrento in Italy which is a really beautiful place in my opinion and I would like to visit in the future.
I am going to prepare dinner now. Cooking Mama time! Ciao.
