KathleenLights: Where The Light Is

*Lips: Miami Fever by Kathleen's collaboration with Ofra

Finally got my hands on ColourPop eyeshadows and more importantly, KathleenLights's collaboration!
Her eye makeup is so beautiful in every makeup tutorial and through her video, I learn how to play with colours!
But of course, my eye shape and hers are different so it is impossible for me to do eye makeup just like her unless I do a SUPER DRAMATIC contouring on my eyes.
Therefore, I do it in my way:)

According to ColourPop website, Here is the description of each colour in the quad.
- Glow (Creamy Vanilla / Matte Finish)
- Kathleenlights (Bright Golden Copper / Pearlized Finish)
- Blaze (Coco Bronze Sprinkled with Multi-Dimensional Glitter / Metallic Finish)
- Cornelious (Mid-tone warm caramel / Matte Finish)

This is also my first time trying ColourPop eyeshadows.
As you can see from the swatches, the colour is really rich while the texture is very moussy (I would say really feel like play-doh haha).
I recommend to pack on or blend the eyeshadow with fingers or synthetic brushes. Otherwise, you cannot get the rich pigmentation.
I always use powder eyeshadows with natural hair brushes so it take some time for me to get used to it.

Kathleen has also just came out with a new quad called Where The Night Is.
How beautiful!!! Cannot wait to get it soon.

Lucerne & Zurich

Environment | Mountains | Relax

Last stop of my Europe trip - Lucerne, Switzerland.
I was lucky enough to have a Swiss friend who can let me stay with him in Switzerland since the standard of living there is really high. Imagine a plate of spaghetti there costs nearly HKD$200!!!

But Switzerland is all about nature and mountains!
I woke up everyday in front of the view of Mount Pilatus. What an amazing view:)
I also climbed to the top of mountains and the view is really breathtaking.
It is like painting everywhere. Sky is so blue and mountain is so green that you think you are under a big big filter.

Thank you to Miro who introduced me the greatness of Lucerne and Zurich.
Also lovely time spent with Minni <3

Jen Chae X Mejuri Collection: The Gravity

When I saw the video that Jen shared about her own jewelry line with Mejuri, I know I have to get it!
The collection is called The Gravity and I love the whole idea of directionality and rule of attraction.
It just reminds you to be down to earth and true to yourself.
As much as I wanted to get every piece of it, I had to choose.
But I am really lucky to catch the Black Friday sales!
So I got GRAVITY RING & MIDI RING set and GRAVITY PULL EARRINGS!
I would say the design is unique and edgy while it is really comfortable to wear everyday for dressing up or down.
You can choose to wear the rings in two ways.

Such a great purchase for Christmas to myself.

Istanbul

Complicated | Food | Patterns

When I recall the memories from Istanbul, the whole trip is just like a dream to me right now.
I remember I got butterflies in my stomach because I know I was going to meet my favourite person face to face and Turkey is where he is from. It made you so excited to finally step on the soil of the country and I realized I did not take enough good pictures since I spent most of the time being present in the moment.

There is a lot to discover in this country. My eyes were so busy in Istanbul because there is a lot to see there especially patterns! It is so rich and vibrant.
Besides, I am so surprised to feel so peaceful in a mosque although I am not a religious person. I think it would be such a great place for meditation.

The food there is very delicious especially meat ball sandwiches which now I always think of when I am craving for a good bite of meat (Meat lover here haha)! Of course cannot miss the fresh juice everyday:) I brought back the best Turkish Delight to HK and I succeed in changing all my friends' stereotype on the 'too sweet' Turkish Delight haha!

Wish to feel the love from Turkey again. Let's see!

The Line Up

(such a milestone here because I am not very confident about my lips and teeth T__T)

Top Left: Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner - 063 Eastend Snob
Top Right: Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat - Pillowtalk

Bottom Left: M.A.C. Lip Pencil - Spice
Bottom Right: KIKO Automatic Precision Lip Liner - 501 Salmon Pink

Today I would like to share a few lip liners that I have been using these days.
All of them are meant to be used on a daily basis so they are leaning towards nudy-pinkish-brownish tone.

People online said Rimmel's Eastend Snob is the dupe of Charlotte Tilbury's Pillowtalk.
I would say Eastend Snob is slightly more pinkish than Pillowtalk and Pillowtalk is very close to my original lip colour so I often use it to sharp my lips especially for the cupid's bow.
Both of the colours show up well but price wise, I would say get Eastend Snob!

M.A.C's spice is sold out everywhere so when I randomly found it in a M.A.C. store, I had to get it!
Before I buy Spice, I have already purchased Kiko's Salmon Pink as a substitute of it.
But Salmon Pink dries my lips more than the others even thought I put on my trusty lip balm before hand.
On the other hand, Spice is pigmented and glide on so easy while lasts longer than the others.

Among these four, I like Eastend Snob and Spice the most!
What is your favourite one?
